Blog Post #2

Second Blog Post

- The most interesting source I've found so far talks about sexual hookups among college students. I've already done an annotated bib for this source so I will use that...

Townsend, JohnWasserman, Timothy. "Sexual Hookups Among College Students: Sex Differences In Emotional Reactions." Archives Of Sexual Behavior 40.6 (2011): 1173. MasterFILE Complete. Web. 11 Feb. 2012.
·         Men and Woman have always differed when it comes to sex but more specifically in sexuality and partner selection. Men are more focused on the male genitalia and orgasm. In effect they are less worried about emotional involvement and martial potential. Men focus a woman’s physical appearance while woman are more focused on the males socioeconomic status. Socioeconomic status is similar to that situation in high school were the cheerleader dates the football star. Though in some environments this does not happen depending on the female’s dependence on the male. While past studies have shown a correlation between hookups and depression in females this recent study shows no connection between permissive sex and psychological distress. Please let me know how/if I can improve this!

( -Surprisingly as I have been researching my question has not changed. I have been able to find multiple sources I think pertain to my question.
--Challenges I have been facing in this research process continue to be finding those periodicals that go with my question. Though I have started using the "search topic" option. This is where they list all the topics a periodical is under. This has helped me tremendously.

  1. Your annotation - this is the summary part, correct? You'll also need a few sentences that evaluate the source. See the handout for instructions.

It seems as if this source provides some of the background knowledge you need.
